Located on the Cartmel Peninsula, this Edwardian seaside resort town is nestled between the hills and the sea; its promenade with many homes offering spectacular views across the Morecambe Bay Estuary toward the Arnside and Silverdale Area of outstanding natural beauty and further still towards the Yorkshire Dales and Trough of Bowland. A scenic 1-mile stroll along the promenade takes you from the centre of Grange-over-Sands, via the stunning Ornamental Gardens dating back to 1865 to Grange’s Victorian Railway Station. Restored to its former grandeur and providing fast links to Barrow, Lancaster and further afield, to Manchester Airport. it is a treat for railway architecture enthusiasts. Hampsfell – just a half-hour walk from Grange, offers breathtaking views of the Old Man of Coniston, Helvellyn, the Langdales, and Morecambe Bay.
